Registration

Custom entry forms, quotas, waitlists, approval workflow, check-in, and payment tracking.

Registration lets players sign up through the public page while you control who gets a slot. Enable it in the tournament settings; the public page then shows the entry form plus a live counter ("12/16 teams approved") while collecting.

Opening and closing

  • Master switch + status — turn registration on, then open or close it explicitly. Closing stops new submissions but keeps the review queue reachable.
  • Time window — optional opens at and closes at timestamps. Outside the window, the form explains why it is closed (not open yet / deadline passed).
  • Quota — target teams is the real capacity: once the approved count reaches it, the event is full. New submissions can be waitlisted instead of rejected (below).
  • Submission cap — optionally limit total submissions (pending + approved) regardless of approvals.

The entry form

Players submit from /t/{slug}/register. Submitting requires an account (they are prompted to sign in and returned to the form; a local draft survives the round-trip). Each player can hold one entry per tournament — or per division in multi-division events.

Every entry includes display name, contact email, an optional note, and:

  • Team members — a roster list submitted by the captain, up to 8 members.
  • Team logo — optional; a logo uploaded here flows onto the bracket when the entry is imported.
  • Custom fields — up to 10 questions of these types: text box, multi-line text, number, email, phone, dropdown (single choice), checkboxes (multi choice), and image upload (PNG/JPG/WebP, up to 2 MB). Email and phone fields get format validation.

Reviewing entries

Submissions arrive as pending and wait in the registration tab:

  • Approve — moves the entry into the approved pool.
  • Reject — declines it (with an optional note to the player).
  • Reject remaining — one click to decline everything still pending, stamped with a "registration closed" note; approvals that arrive after quota is full are auto-rejected the same way.

Waitlist

With the waitlist enabled, submissions that arrive when the event is full enter a waitlisted queue instead of being rejected. When an approved team frees a slot, the earliest waitlisted entry is auto-promoted to pending for your review.

Importing approved entries

Import approved fills the roster from the approved pool with randomly drawn seeds, and can expand the roster if you approved more teams than the current bracket size. You can also import rosters without registration via paste/CSV — see Create your first tournament.

Check-in

On event day, check teams in with one click (and undo just as easily). Check-in state shows on the participant's "my tournament" page and helps you spot no-shows before round one.

Payment tracking

Entries carry a paid/unpaid marker you can flip manually. With an Event Pass or higher plan, payment tracking integrates with your payment provider so player-side payments are recorded automatically — useful for collecting entry fees without a merchant setup.
