Scheduling
Venue × time grid, drag-and-drop placement, conflict detection, and auto-fill.
The schedule tab turns "who plays whom" into "who plays whom, where, and when". Matches that are not yet placed wait in a pool; the grid has venues as columns and time slots as rows.
Configure the grid
- Venues — each venue becomes a grid column. Name them after courts, tables, or rooms.
- Slot length and buffer — how long a match occupies a slot (default 30 min) and the breather between matches (default 10 min).
- Day window — the playable range per day (default 09:00–18:00), with support for multiple windows — e.g. morning and afternoon slots that skip lunch.
- Days — add or remove event days; removing a day returns its matches to the unscheduled pool. Blocked dates exclude whole days from play.
- Daily limit — cap how many matches one team can play per day.
- Per-division overrides — in multi-division events, each division can use its own venues and windows.
Place matches
- Drag a match from the pool onto any grid cell.
- Click a match to set time and venue from a form.
Changes collect in an unsaved-changes bar; save applies everything in one go. Clearing the schedule never touches recorded results.
Conflict detection
Conflicts are advisory — they warn but do not block saving. Rollare checks:
- Team overlap — a team booked in two places at once, including projected overlaps ("if they advance, both paths collide").
- Rest — a team playing again before its buffer elapses.
- Dependencies — a match scheduled before its feeder match (e.g. a losers-bracket match ahead of the winners-bracket match that feeds it).
- Blocked dates and per-team day limits.
- Referee conflicts — an official double-booked, out of availability, or without buffer (see Officials).
Auto-fill
Auto-fill drops unscheduled matches greedily: earlier rounds first, respecting dependencies, avoiding venue and team clashes. Choose auto-fill unscheduled to keep existing placements, or rebuild all to start over (30-day horizon per event).
Sharing the schedule
- The public page shows the schedule table to visitors as soon as any match is placed.
- Calendar sync — players subscribe via ICS (
/t/{slug}/schedule.ics), and every match has its own add-to-calendar link; see Public page. - Reminders — players get a reminder email 60 minutes before their match, and a notification if a match is rescheduled.
- Master schedule — multi-division events get a combined, printable view across divisions.
